William (Bill) W. Shores, Q.C.

Bill received a combined LL.B. (with distinction) and Masters of Public Management from the University of Alberta in 1986. Previously, he received a B.A. (cum laude) from the U of A in 1981. He was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 1988. Bill was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2006.

Bill has appeared in all levels of court in the Province of Alberta. He has extensive experience in appearing before the Court of Appeal of Alberta, and before the Court of Queen's Bench.

Bill's main areas of practice are administrative and municipal law. This includes representing a number of professional governing bodies, agricultural marketing boards, and other regulatory agencies.

Bill's municipal law practice involves representing municipalities on a broad range of issues including annexations, land use issues and assessment issues.

Bill also represents client in matters of general civil litigation, including commercial disputes and employment law.

Bill is an avid soccer coach and kayaker.
